The sun salutation (Sūrya Namaskāra) forms the foundation of Ashtanga I Yoga practice. Here you will establish the calm rhythm of breathing, direction of energy and concentration.

Ashtanga is an excellent choice for yoga students seeking to improve flexibility while, at the same time, improving muscular strength. It is a fast-paced yoga style that is designed to elevate your heart rate and exercise all major muscle groups and soft tissue. In addition, regularly practicing an Astanga yoga routine will naturally increase your flexibility by improving your soft tissue elasticity at a greater rate than simply performing static stretches.

The Absolute Hot Yoga series consists of the well thought out sequences which are from the Absolute Yoga school that is famous worldwide. Designed to suit different levels of students each sequence is fun, challenging & dynamic. The Absolute series expands from the original hot yoga sequence by adding specific postures to make the series more complete. There are 50 yoga poses practiced in a room heated to 38-40 degrees celcius. Great for beginners with an added “spice” for the regular hot yogis.

Hot Yoga Flow I / The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga


Hot 60 eða 75 min yoga class. Suits very well for beginners but also for advanced practitioners because one can choose difficulty level of the exercises.  

The Barkan Method is a style of Hatha Yoga that originated from a lineage in Calcutta, India. The Barkan Method finds its roots from this lineage in Calcutta, but also integrates postures from other styles of Yoga to create variations and even greater range of motion. The yoga classes are practiced in a heated room to stretch and strengthen various areas of the body. The practice brings vital balance and restores all systems to optimal health. Consistency will create a physical, mental and spiritual harmony that will be felt in all areas of the practitioner’s life.

Hot Vinyasa II is a challenging but fun 75 or 90 minute class that consists of five different categories of Vinyasa flow. The class will increase stamina, flexibility and strengthens the entire body.

The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga is the evolution of hot yoga and vinyasa flow. Suits very well for beginners but also for advanced practitioners because one can choose difficulty level of the exercises.

Friday afternoon class is cozy and includes candles and minimum guidance, in the spirit of “My Sore”, so practitioners should be familiar with the flow.

It is recommended that yoga practitioners have an experience in yoga before going to Hot Yoga Flow II.

In these classes we will focus on yoga postures for both beginners and more advanced practitioners.

As the name indicates, the main emphasis is placed on proper posture and how to use the body’s opportunities and limitations.

The teacher uses the base of martial arts, gymnastics and dynamic flow to strengthen and improve the body. He puts primary focus on teaching proper posture and strengthen the body in such a way that it can be used in all sports and everyday life.

Tolli and Sölvi Tryggva will lead meditation with emphasis on mindfulness on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In the classes we will go through variety of mindfulness exercises with a group chat before meditating for half an hour.

Yoga Nidra


Our Yoga Nidra Classes

Yoga nidra or “yogic sleep” is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of (audio) instructions. This state of consciousness (yoga nidra) is different to meditation in which concentration on a single focus is required. In yoga nidra the practitioner remains in a state of light pratyahara with four of his senses internalised (withdrawn) and only the hearing still connects to the instructions. The yogic goal of both paths, deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation are the same, a state called samadhi.

Yoga Nidra is easy, suitable for all and since there is very little physical efforts necessary, there is no need for special yoga clothing.

Yin yoga


Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time—five minutes or more per pose is typical. It’s teaching in the Western world, beginning in the late 70’s, was founded by martial arts expert and Taoist yoga teacher Paulie Zink.

Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.
